They say that everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day.
To me, it is a fun celebration and the wearing of the green is a way to herald the arrival of spring, my favorite season.
My ancestors on my father's side came from Western Ireland, and I had the chance to visit there in 2008. Of course, I had to write a Squidoo lens about My Trip to Ireland.
St. Patrick's Debate by mysticmama exposes the myths surrounding St. Patrick's Day. Many things we were brought up to believe about this day may not be true. Does that change your opinion of this day?
It was the Baileys and Guinness that attracted me to St. Patrick's Day Cupcakes by ChrissLJ. Besides that, this is an exceptionally well presented lens.
Traveller27 isn't Irish but she knows her Irish Love Songs. Irish music and love songs just go together and she has pulled together a wonderful collection. Have a listen!
Prolific lensmaster kab tells of the sad history of Irish Slaves in the Caribbean. Well-documented and researched.
The Irish are sentimental, so I loved this lens by ComfortDoc, Irish Quotes, Blessings, and Toasts. Here's the most famous Irish blessing.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His Hand.
